Vivo X80 Lite Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Vivo X80 Lite Overview
Vivo X80 Lite - the best functionality at a reduced price
Progress in the performance of the technical characteristics of smartphones and their photo capabilities allows developers to release really interesting new items even at very reasonable price tags. So, the hero of today's review is the most affordable phone of the Vivo flagship line, however, with a close acquaintance with the device, it is difficult to find a significant difference from expensive predecessors.
The design concept of the gadget is completely transferred from previous models, which is noticeable by the similar colors of glass panels, a stylish circle of photomodules, and thin display frames. True, the metal of the side edging has now been replaced with plastic, but this is not easy to understand by tactile sensations, and the coating turned out to be quite resistant to scratches and chips. The diagonal of the AMOLED panel is reduced to 6.44 inches, and the refresh rate of the picture is up to 90 hertz. However, the manufacturer left the resolution at 2408x1080 pixels and, as a result, even improved the clarity of the image, the brightness, contrast and natural color reproduction did not suffer. The under-screen fingerprint sensor does not upset the accuracy of work, the oleophobic layer is even applied to the complete film.
The gaming power of the mid-budget MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset is, of course, lower than that of top solutions, but it still makes it possible to try out the most beautiful and resource-intensive projects like Genshin Impact at maximum or close to them graphics settings. Of course, the combination of 8GB of RAM and the Mali G68MC4 video core must also be thanked for achieving such a result. The power consumption of the processor is less than that of the representatives of the eighth series, so even a 4500mAh battery will require searching for an outlet every one and a half days. The fast charging power has reached 44W, so the battery will reach its full capacity in half an hour. There is no microSD card slot, as slow internal storage would negatively affect the performance of the Android 12 interface, but the amount of ROM has been increased to 256GB.
The main 64-, 8- and 2-megapixel photomodules leave positive emotions. Although the auxiliary sensors are simple, the main module with optical stabilization performs excellently in any lighting conditions and is even ready to capture moving objects without significant blurring and noise. He also succeeds in shooting video in 4K resolution without artifacts and similar problems. Stereo sound is present, its volume is average, but the bass is perfectly audible. There are also NFC contactless payments and support for 5G networks, but the lack of moisture protection and wireless charging can hardly be considered a minus given the price category of an Android smartphone. Thus, we have a great option for a purchase that will delight gamers, mobile photographers, and simply connoisseurs of high-quality electronics.
