Vivo X80 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Vivo X80 Overview
Vivo X80 is a discounted flagship?
The X-series of smartphones from the Chinese company Vivo with each generation is becoming more beautiful, more technologically advanced and often more pleasant in terms of pricing. The need for greater audience coverage, as well as maintaining competition with market leaders, is forcing the corporation to create phones that are closer to perfection. The hero of today's review also applies to this kind of devices.
The appearance of the novelty meets both the standards of modern fashion and the manufacturer's line itself. The familiar round block of three photomodules, the strict forms of the body made of metal and glass with similar colors, the desire for a completely frameless installed display indicate that the Android smartphone belongs to the high cost category. The 6.56-inch AMOLED panel is difficult to criticize even when directly comparing the displayed image with those of expensive flagship counterparts. A resolution of 2400x1080 pixels is in harmony with a picture update of 120 hertz and an exorbitant margin of brightness, an AMOLED screen and an oleophobic layer are not without.
Specifications are presented by the latest top-end Mediatek Dimensity 9000 CPU, 8GB/12GB RAM and Mali G710 MC10 graphics adapter, which achieve about 990k points in Antutu benchmark and amazingly smooth gameplay in Genshin Impact and Fortnite at maximum graphics presets. The processor is not without throttling, however, the overall heating is far from critical, and the performance provided, even with a slight reset of the chipset frequencies, does not allow lags to manifest themselves. The 4Nm process technology also hints at unworthy energy efficiency. Thus, a 4500mAh battery will help you spend about a day and a half with a mobile assistant without looking for outlets. There is wireless charging, and there is also a wired alternative with a power of 80W. Of the other positive points, we note 128/256/512GB of ROM in UFS 3.1 format.
The main 50- (main sensor Sony IMX866), 12-megapixel (wide-angle and portrait lenses) cameras will delight you with a well-developed hybrid stabilization system, so the quality of both daytime and evening shots cannot be criticized. Modules try to carefully convey color reproduction and the smallest details of events. Fans of high-quality sound will not be upset by the stereo speakers used, but there is no separate headphone slot. But NFC contactless payments are not forgotten, as is the optimization of the updated Android 12, support for 5G frequencies. As a result, it is simply impossible to find fault with the device for the requested money, it came out so balanced and relevant.
