Vivo iQOO 15 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Vivo iQOO 15 Overview
Vivo iQOO 15 - a flawless balance
The Chinese company Vivo tirelessly delights its fans with dozens of high-end smartphones across all price ranges. Unfortunately, the most interesting devices often remain exclusively available on the Chinese market. The subject of today's review will share this fate, but it has proven so competitive that hundreds of thousands of people in Europe and the CIS will also buy it.
Of course, any phone line wouldn't have gained popularity without thoughtful design. There's a variety of colors to suit every taste, a well-designed case made of high-quality materials (tempered glass, metal), a neatly rounded photo module assembly, and a bezel-less display with a built-in fingerprint scanner. The 6.85-inch AMOLED panel is beyond reproach. The massive 3168x1440 resolution delivers exceptional image clarity, the 144Hz refresh rate delivers stunningly smooth images, and all of this is complemented by realistic color reproduction, impressive brightness, and the absence of PWM.
The device's technical specifications are truly flagship-level. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 CPU, 12GB/16GB RAM, and Adreno 840 GPU easily surpass the three million point threshold in the AnTuTu benchmark, easily handling all modern resource-intensive games. Frame rates of 100+ frames per second at maximum graphics settings are perfect for games like Fortnite, Genshin Impact, and Zenless Zone Zero. Battery life is also excellent. The battery capacity has been increased to 7000 mAh, easily delivering over 10-12 hours of active screen time. In addition to 100W wired charging, there's also a 40W wireless option. Storage options include 256/512/1024GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
The trio of 50-megapixel main cameras (a Sony IMX921 main module, a periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, hybrid stabilization, and a wide-angle lens) may not be the best in the world, but they're capable of handling evening photo sessions, even with dynamic scenes. Noise, blur, and other artifacts are easily avoided in the resulting images. Stereo sound is also impressive in both volume and size. In addition to the aforementioned advantages, there's NFC contactless payments, 5G support, IP69 water resistance, and an extremely affordable price tag. The only downside is the lack of translations for Chinese services. Ultimately, this device allows you to save money while still experiencing the full functionality of a full-fledged flagship.
