Xiaomi 15T Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Xiaomi 15T Pro Overview
Xiaomi 15T Pro - still not a flagship
The main series of smartphones from the Chinese company Xiaomi has been replenished with another model. Now the developer has decided to expand the range of the highest price category. And if you do not look closely, then the hero of today's review is in many ways similar to the top solutions of the market at a noticeably more affordable price. However, the devil is in the details.
The appearance of the new product is more than relevant and beautiful. The manufacturer did not skimp on the metal frame of the case with moisture protection according to IP69 standards, a stylish round block of cameras, a variety of colors of glass panels, narrow screen frames with a built-in fingerprint scanner. The 6.83-inch AMOLED panel is very bright (peak brightness is over 6500 nits), the image it displays is extremely smooth (refresh rate is 144Hz), but the image clarity is not amazing due to the resolution of 2772x1280 pixels, although it is not mediocre. Color rendition is natural, the advantages include the precise touch panel and the quality of the oleophobic layer.
The technical characteristics are impressive in terms of performance, and they are not without energy efficiency. The MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ CPU, 12GB/16GB RAM and Mali Immortalis-G925 MC12 video core are approaching the result of 3,000,000 points in the AnTuTu benchmark, leaving no chance for any modern games to lag. The chipset copes with them at maximum graphics settings, except that the frame rate from 100-120 frames per second will gradually drop to 60 in projects like Genshin Impact or Fortnite. The reason for this is throttling due to excessive heating of a powerful processor. But there is no need to worry about autonomy, from a 6000 mAh battery you can easily get more than 8-9 hours of active screen time. Fast wired charging has been brought to a power of 90 W, wireless - up to 50 W. These are good values, the same words can be attributed to the size of the ROM in 256/512/1024 GB UFS 4.0 format.
But the photo capabilities reveal the true essence of the phablet. The main 50-megapixel Omnivision Light Hunter 800 photo module and a telephoto lens with three-fold optical zoom, although equipped with hybrid stabilization, do not reach the level of similar sensors in real camera phones. However, complex shooting scenarios that combine poor lighting and increased dynamics of objects affect the amount of noise and blurred details. The 13-megapixel wide-angle lens is recommended to be used only during the day. The stereo sound is loud, with bass, the necessary volume, and a balanced frequency response. NFC contactless payments, 5G support, and an IR port are in place. Thus, the device makes a very positive impression in terms of functionality, but the display and cameras installed do not correspond to a full-fledged flagship level.
