Xiaomi CIVI 4 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Xiaomi CIVI 4 Overview
Xiaomi CIVI 4 - beauty that does not require sacrifice
The CIVI series of smartphones from the Chinese company Xiaomi is an excellent example of excellent design work. Even the first representatives of the line today look better than many analogues in the price category. The hero of today's review has become even more beautiful than its predecessors and, in addition, has increased productivity and functionality.
The design of the new product is almost flawless. Only the dual selfie camera (32MP sensors) can raise questions, but it does not take up such a large part of the display. The minimal frames of the screen, smoothly transitioning to a metal edging, an updated round block of three photo modules, and an abundance of stylish colors for the rear panels made of tempered glass allow the exterior to be remembered for a long time. The 6.7-inch AMOLED panel is close to flagship alternatives in a number of ways. These include an impressive resolution of 2700x1224 pixels, a 120-Hz image refresh rate, and a brightness reserve exceeding 2500 nits. The image is bright, detailed, and the output content is perfectly visible in direct sunlight. Of course, the AMOLED screen cannot do without an oleophobic coating.
The technical characteristics were the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 CPU, 12GB of RAM and the Mali-G615 MP6 video core, which are catching up with last year’s top solutions according to benchmark results. More than 1.3 million points in the AnTuTu benchmark indicate that the phablet will avoid problems with the smoothness of the Android 14 interface (HyperOS shell) and slow launch of applications. The gaming capabilities are impressive; you can get stable gameplay even in the famously resource-intensive Genshin Impact at maximum graphic settings. 256/512GB of permanent memory are allocated; there is no need to complain about the lack of a slot for MicroSD cards. The battery capacity has increased to 5000 mAh, so you don’t have to look for the nearest outlets for a couple of days. Charging power is 67W.
The main 50-megapixel (Sony IMX920 main module with hybrid stabilization), 16-megapixel (wide-angle lens) and 5-megapixel (macro lens) cameras are a wonderful tool for creating both daytime and evening shots. The detail of the photographs remains almost unchanged with the lighting deteriorating, noise and blurring a little. The video footage recorded in 8K resolution also deserves compliments. Stereo speakers, NFC contactless payments, and 5G support continue the list of advantages. But the list of disadvantages will be supplemented by the lack of moisture protection and wireless charging, the presence of untranslated application services for China and some problems with notifications. That's right, there is no global version of the device yet, but when it appears, the manufacturer will definitely get another hit.
