Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro Overview
Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro is a stylish bomb
The Chinese company Xiaomi knows how to delight with its smartphones. And the Civi line of phones is an excellent example of how an experienced and popular manufacturer perfectly combines beauty, technology and an affordable price in its products. And its new representative increases this combination of positive qualities to a level previously unseen in the series.
As noted earlier, the new product is really beautiful. The variety of colors of glass panels, metal edging, thin display frames, and an updated block of photomodules make the exterior of the device close to perfection. It’s even surprising how the developer managed to provide the monoblock with full moisture protection according to IP68 standards. Of course, the 6.55-inch AMOLED screen used does not disappoint. In addition to the resolution increased to 2750x1236 pixels and, as a result, decent picture clarity, it offers a flagship peak brightness of 3000 nits, a 120-Hz image refresh rate and extremely accurate color reproduction. It’s hard not to praise the responsive optical fingerprint scanner and the effective oleophobic layer.
The technical characteristics are the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 CPU, 12GB/16GB of RAM and Adreno 735 video adapter. The chipset received excellent performance of more than one and a half million points in the AnTuTu benchmark and at the same time has better energy efficiency compared to top-end alternatives. As a result, the user will be able to play extremely resource-intensive games like Genshin Impact or Tank Company for hours on end, and remember about the power outlet only once every couple of days. Of course, this is also due to the 4700 mAh battery. Wireless charging is not provided, but its wired counterpart can boast a power of 67W (40 minutes to reach 100% capacity). 256/512GB of permanent memory is allocated without expansion.
The main photo modules are a fresh 50-megapixel Sony LYT800 sensor, a Samsung JN1 telephoto lens with 2x zoom (50MP) and a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens. The photographic capabilities they provide are significantly above average; impressive detail is maintained even when shooting in the evening. At the same time, the amount of noise does not cross reasonable boundaries. Of course, the device has loud stereo speakers, with which you won’t miss an important call and at the same time easily enjoy your favorite musical compositions. Support for NFC (contactless payments) and 5G networks is present, but there is also a significant drawback for all buyers from Europe and the CIS countries. Due to the lack of a global version of the unit, the coveted FDD-LTE B7 and B20 are missing, 4G communication will be far from the most stable. However, if you close your eyes to this shortcoming, then we have one of the most attractive and technologically advanced devices in the price segment.
