Xiaomi Poco F7 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Xiaomi POCO F7 Pro Overview
Xiaomi POCO F7 Pro - another step forward
The Chinese company Poco (a sub-brand of Xiaomi Corporation) still specializes in relatively inexpensive smartphones, but the brand's top models are becoming more beautiful, technologically advanced and functional every year. So, the hero of today's review is even easier to confuse with other flagships, but there are still a number of simplifications to reduce the cost.
The design of the new product continues the concept of the manufacturer's previous products. The familiar design of the triple camera, the marble-style texture of the back panel, thinner display frames, IP68 moisture protection, and an increased area of the fingerprint scanner built into it leave a positive impression, which would be even better with the appearance of a metal frame. The 6.67-inch AMOLED panel has a decent resolution of 3200x1440 pixels for the diagonal used, an impressive refresh rate of 144 hertz and a maximum brightness of 3200 nits. At the same time, there are no serious errors in color rendering, and a high-quality oleophobic coating has not been forgotten.
The technical characteristics now include the most powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 12GB/16GB of RAM and an Adreno 750 video core, so gamers can also consider buying the device. All existing games will work flawlessly at the highest graphics settings, lags and freezes are easy to forget about. Of course, the Android 15 interface will also be perfectly smooth and responsive. The chipset is not considered the most energy-efficient on the market, but thanks to the 6000 mAh battery (fast charging 90 W, 40 minutes from 0% to 100%), the battery life of 8-9 hours of active screen time is maintained. Well, there are no problems with the volume of permanent memory, because it reaches 256/512 GB of UFS 4.0 format.
Photo capabilities still deserve criticism. Thus, the auxiliary 8- (wide-angle lens) sensors are mediocre for the price segment, and there was no room for a telephoto lens in the device. But the excellent 50-megapixel Omnivision Light Hunter 800 photo module with hybrid stabilization tries to work for everyone. It manages to maintain detail even in frankly poor lighting conditions, while the noise reduction system functions correctly. Loud and deep sound from stereo speakers, optimized HyperOS shell, IR port for controlling household appliances, NFC contactless payment and modem operation in 5G networks add to the list of advantages of the device. Even though it does not include wireless charging, the desire to buy the device for yourself does not diminish in the least.
