Xiaomi Poco 5G Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Xiaomi Poco 5G Overview
Xiaomi Poco 5G - the bestseller is not for us
The Chinese company Xiaomi is not shy about releasing adaptations of successful models under different names. So, the hero of today's review is almost identical to the previously released version of Redmi Note 10 with support for 5G frequencies, but is aimed mostly at residents of India. How relevant is the device for the European audience?
The design of the gadget is not satisfactory within the middle price category. The block of three cameras is original and stylish, distinguishes the phone from the background of monotonous opponents, a side fingerprint scanner adds convenience, and a borderless 6.5-inchOGS screen with an 8-megapixel selfie camera adds beauty and grace. The exterior is characterized by only one serious drawback in the face of the plastic of the rear panel. The IPS display has a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels with good brightness and contrast levels. Improved picture smoothness is achieved by a refresh rate of 90hertz , and a protective film with an effective oleophobic coating is also placed on the screen.
The technical characteristics are not disappointing. The Mediatek Dimensity700 processor, 4GB ofRAM and the Mali G57MC2 video adapter are an excellent bundle for not the most demanding applications. The Android 11 interface (MIUI shell) is free from the slightest lags, the browser, the photo editor function extremely quickly. With resource-intensive games, the situation is slightly worse. Projects like Genshin Impact and Fortnite will run smoothly only on low-medium graphics settings. The volume of internal storage is 64 / 128GB ofROM , the developer has not forgotten the slot for microSD cards.
The trio of main cameras have two downright useless 2-megapixel sensors for bokeh and macro effects, but the main 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 does well in both day and night shooting. The noise reduction is mediocre, but the color rendition and detail of the frames are practically completely preserved. It is difficult not to praise the huge 5000mAh battery. Such a battery will protect the mobile assistant from premature discharge for a couple of days. But the device was deprived of contactless NFC payments, which somewhat spoils the impression of an almost ideal budget phablet. But if the moment is not critical for you, then the reviewed Android smartphone will be a very rational purchase.
