Xiaomi Poco F5 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Xiaomi Poco F5 Overview
Xiaomi Poco F5 - even closer to the flagship segment
The F-series of smartphones from the Chinese company Poco (a sub-brand of Xiaomi Corporation) has been striving for the title of "flagship killers" since its inception. The F1 model was able to actually revolutionize the mid-range price category, providing users with the best processor, coupled with decent other indicators. The hero of today's review is trying not only to repeat the achievements of his predecessor, but also to improve them.
The appearance of the novelty is simply obliged to please every fan of mobile electronics. The updated camera unit is perfectly combined with the thin bezels of the AMOLED panel, attractive colors of the ergonomic body. Not without a fly in the ointment. The development company saved on assembly materials (plastic instead of metal and glass), which is why the tactile sensations from the phablet are not as good as they could be. But let's move on from the minuses to the competitive advantages. The 6.67-inch AMOLED display received a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels and an excellent oleophobic coating. At the same time, a clear picture has not lost a huge margin of brightness, a 120-Hz refresh rate, and correctly configured color reproduction.
Surprisingly, at a more than reasonable price tag, the developer installed the most powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset in the device, combined with 8GB / 12GB of RAM and the Adreno 725 video adapter. There is not a single game that would not succumb to the CPU at maximum graphics presets. The beauties of Genshin Impact, Undecember and Fortnite will be available without a single lag. Not the most impressive energy efficiency of the components is invisible thanks to a 5000mAh battery. It organizes about a day and a half of operation of the monoblock and charges up to 100% in about 35 minutes (quick charge at 67W). Unfortunately, wireless charging is reserved for really expensive Android smartphones. The internal storage is allocated 256 / 512GB, the expansion of which is not provided.
Fans of quality photography will not be disappointed by the capabilities of 64-, 8- and 2-megapixel photosensors with optical stabilization. It's a great tool for capturing great daytime photos that doesn't fall flat on its face even in more complex shooting scenarios. Evening lighting, dynamic objects and much more will be captured with almost no noise and blurring. The stereo sound in the device is full-fledged, its volume abounds both for receiving incoming calls and for pleasant listening to music. NFC contactless payments, the manufacturer's MIUI shell and infrared port, support for 5G networks and the abundance of the above advantages increase the attractiveness of the gadget to unprecedented heights.
