Xiaomi Poco X6 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Xiaomi Poco X6 Overview
Xiaomi Poco X6 - a bid for success
The Chinese company Poco (a sub-brand of Xiaomi) decided to start 2024 with a scattering of smartphones that are stunning in all respects. Particularly interesting was the development of the assortment in the mid-price category, where the hero of today’s review was one of the most impressive models. In what ways is the new product better than its predecessor and its opponents in the value segment? Let's figure it out.
The appearance of the device is strict, stylish and up-to-date. The block of three photomodules is large, but does not protrude too much from the glass case, and the variety of textures of the rear panels will help the exterior appeal to literally every user. The fingerprint sensor is located under the glass of a frameless 6.67-inch AMOLED display. The AMOLED panel has made significant progress in terms of maximum brightness (1800 nits) and picture clarity (resolution 2712 x 1220 pixels). The image refresh rate (120Hz) and the quality of the oleophobic coating do not disappoint either. As for the design, its only drawback is the plastic edging, which quickly collects scratches without a protective silicone cover.
The technical characteristics are Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 CPU, 8GB/12GB RAM and Adreno 710 video adapter. The combination perfectly combines performance and energy efficiency. Fans of resource-intensive games will not be left without their favorite projects, because the chipset scores about 600 thousand points in the AnTuTu benchmark and is able to cope even with the demanding Genshin Impact, albeit not with high graphics presets. The 5100mAh battery allows the processor to provide up to 9-10 hours of active screen time. There are also no problems with fast wired charging; its power is 67W. You will have to stay at the outlet for no more than 25-30 minutes. The size of the permanent memory can be 256/512GB; there is no MicroSD slot for its expansion.
The device does not fall flat on its face even when analyzing its photographic capabilities. The auxiliary 8- and 2-megapixel photo sensors are simple and low-functional, which cannot be said about the main 64-megapixel module with hybrid stabilization. Daytime photographs are not much inferior to those of the flagships, evening shots have good detail. True, noise is quite easy to notice on them. The stereo sound is loud enough; if desired, you can hear the bass in musical compositions. NFC contactless payments, support for 5G networks, and an infrared port for controlling household appliances become pleasant bonuses to the many advantages of an inexpensive and well-balanced phone.
