Xiaomi Redmi 13C 5G Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Xiaomi Redmi 13C 5G Overview
Xiaomi Redmi 13C 5G - inexpensive but interesting
The Chinese company Xiaomi has extensive experience in creating high-quality smartphones in the low price segment. It is not surprising that its production line often produces extremely balanced and functional devices, even at an affordable price tag. The hero of today’s review also became one, but we will most likely meet him outside India under a different name.
The appearance of the device is stylish, although there are some compromises. Thus, the design of the five-megapixel selfie camera is noticeably outdated, and the display bezels are hard to miss. However, the side fingerprint sensor, thoughtful colors of the rear panels, and a beautiful dual camera are trying to transform the exterior. The 6.74-inch IPS screen also has its pros and cons. An increased 90-Hz image refresh rate and a brightness reserve of almost 700 nits are combined with a frankly small resolution for a diagonal of 1600x720 pixels. The image is bright and smooth, but lacks clarity.
The technical characteristics selected are the latest MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and Mali G57MC2 graphics adapter. In reality, we are looking at a rather old processor, made using an updated technical process. Performance from such changes has remained virtually unchanged; the user receives 350-400 thousand points in the AnTuTu benchmark. You can even play the resource-intensive Genshin Impact, but the graphics settings need to be reduced to a minimum. Autonomy is good. A 5000mAh battery is enough for 10-12 hours of active screen time. I would like to thank both the optimized Android 13 (MIUI shell) and the energy-efficient CPU and IPS display for this result. It's a pity that fast charging power is limited to 18W. But there is no saving on the amount of permanent memory, which reached 128/256GB of ROM while maintaining a slot for MicroSD cards.
The 50- and 2-megapixel main photo modules should hardly be perceived as a tool for artistic photography, but it is quite possible to take a few successful shots during the day for social networks with them. The single speaker is very basic and lacks volume and bass. But music lovers will be pleasantly surprised by a separate headphone output. There are no NFC contactless payments for the Indian device, and there is no FDD-LTE B7, which is necessary for 4G to work in Europe and the CIS countries. However, the final impression of the phablet is still positive, because for the offered price it is not easy to find worthy opponents for it.
