Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 5G Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 5G Overview
Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 5G - more expensive and much better
The basic models of the Note line of smartphones from the Chinese company Redmi have always been popular, but they have not sold in the same quantities as their older brothers with the Pro index. The reason for this situation was simpler displays and photomodules, and reduced functionality. But it looks like the hero of today’s review will be noticeably more interesting than its predecessor in all aspects and will become a real hit.
The appearance of the new product turned out to be very attractive. Of course, there were some savings on assembly materials (inexpensive plastic), but the smaller thickness of the screen frames, the updated camera unit, the under-screen fingerprint sensor, and the ergonomic shape of the case make you forget about minor shortcomings. Where major changes have really taken place is in the quality of the AMOLED panel used. The 6.67-inch AMOLED display has a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels, a 120-Hz picture refresh rate, and a maximum brightness of over 1000 nits. It is also necessary to praise the realistic color rendition.
In terms of technical characteristics, the metamorphoses are not so impressive. Of course, the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 processor (support for 5G networks, 6GB/8GB/12GB of RAM, Mali G57MC2 video adapter) is more productive than the previously used Qualcomm Snapdragon 678/680, but in fact this is a minor improvement of the 700 chipset. 380-400 thousand points in the AnTuTu benchmark indicate the smoothness of the Android OS (MIUI proprietary shell) and the ability to run the vast majority of modern games. Unfortunately, a stable frame rate in the extremely resource-intensive Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail is achievable only with minimal graphic presets. There is hardly a user who will be dissatisfied with the autonomy of the phablet. A 5000mAh battery will require you to look for the nearest outlet only after a day and a half to two days. Fast charging has a power of 33W; you can get 100% capacity in about an hour and a half. The size of permanent memory varies from 128 to 512GB of ROM with expansion function with MicroSD cards.
It’s hard not to be surprised by the cameras used. We are not talking about a standard 8-megapixel wide-angle lens or a 2-megapixel auxiliary sensor, but a 108-megapixel module from Samsung with electronic stabilization. Daytime and even evening photography will delight you with detail and a reasonable amount of noise. There is also stability in the video footage. There is no stereo sound; one speaker is far from ideal in terms of volume and balanced frequency response. There is NFC contactless payment (not in all regional versions), an infrared port, with which you can easily and naturally control a TV or, for example, a split system. As a result, the gadget is superior to previous devices in the series and definitely deserves attention.
