Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G Overview
Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G - leaving performance behind
Smartphones from the Chinese company Xiaomi enjoy constant success, thanks to which the manufacturer can sometimes relax and not reinvent the wheel to expand the range. Thus, the eminent developer decided to release two phones at once with an identical design and similar photographic capabilities, but one of them received significantly simpler technical characteristics. It was he who became the hero of today's review.
The appearance of the new product pleases the eye with its thin screen frames, beautiful colors of the glass back panel to suit every taste, and a block of three photomodules that does not protrude from the body. The shape of the monoblock is ergonomic, interacting with it is convenient and comfortable. The plastic edging cannot be considered a minus, if you remember the price tag of the device. The strong point is definitely the 6.67-inch AMOLED display. Opponents cannot boast of the same high resolution of 2712x1220 pixels, almost complete absence of PWM effect and maximum brightness of 1800 nits. Of course, there are no problems with the image refresh rate (120 hertz), or with the effectiveness of the oleophobic layer, or with the under-screen fingerprint scanner.
The choice of processor is rather disappointing. The MediaTek Helio G99 with the Ultra prefix is almost no different from the regular version, so its combination with 8GB/12GB of RAM and the Mali G57 MC2 video adapter receives a not particularly impressive 400 thousand points in the AnTuTu benchmark and is unlikely to satisfy a demanding gamer. Genshin Impact, Fortnite and similar projects work with low graphic presets, but friezes will sometimes spoil the smoothness of gameplay. But they didn’t skimp on the battery. The 5100mAh battery can withstand 9-10 hours of active screen time, and charges to 100% in 30-40 minutes (fast charging with a power of 67W). 256/512GB of permanent memory are allocated, so the lack of a slot for MicroSD cards does not cause negative emotions.
The photo capabilities of the phablet can only be praised. And we’re not talking about modest 8 and 2 megapixel auxiliary cameras, but about the excellent main 200 megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP3 module with hybrid stabilization. It takes decent photos and videos even in evening light, there is little noise, and detail is at a good level. Stereo sound is available, I don’t want to find fault with its volume or frequency response at all. Contactless NFC payments, the proprietary MIUI shell with subsequent transition to HyperOS, and the infrared port loved by fans of the company for controlling household appliances complete the list of advantages of the device. Thus, if you are not an ardent fan of Android games, then the gadget is worth considering buying.
