Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G Overview
Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G - changes that are visible to the naked eye
Every smartphone manufacturer dreams of creating a bestseller that is ready to sell millions of copies. This is incredibly difficult, but it is even more difficult to make a follower of such a device that can attract no less users. While maintaining the same pricing policy, the developer needs to make some truly noticeable improvements. And it seems that the Chinese company Xiaomi was able to cope with this task, delighting us with the hero of today’s review.
The appearance of the new product is close to that of expensive flagships. The glass back panel, which is pleasantly cooling to the palm, with an updated camera block, features beautiful and varied colors; an under-screen fingerprint sensor and reduced display frames emphasize the relevance of the design. It’s a pity that we haven’t been able to get rid of the plastic edging yet. Where impressive metamorphoses have really taken place is in the quality of the screen. The 6.67-inch AMOLED panel has added not only brightness, but also image clarity (resolution 2712x1220 pixels). The PWM effect, which is harmful to vision, has been almost reduced to zero, and color reproduction has been corrected.
The technical characteristics are the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 CPU, 8GB/12GB/16GB RAM and Mali G610MC4 video adapter. The processor, made using a 4nm process technology, produces more than 600 thousand points in the AnTuTu benchmark with minimal throttling in the CPU Throttling Test. The chipset has performance not only for the smoothness of Android (the proprietary MIUI shell), but also for all existing Android games. Today, even the very resource-intensive Fortnite and Honkai: Star Rail are not replete with freezes and lags at medium-high graphic settings. Another advantage of the used combination is energy efficiency, which has a beneficial effect on autonomy. The 5100 mAh battery is sufficient for one and a half to two days of operation of the device; another competitive advantage of the battery will be fast charging with a power of 67 W. There is no wireless analogue - it will go to flagship devices. The size of the internal memory can vary from 128 to 512GB depending on the version of the unit.
The photo capabilities of the main cameras are excellent, if you forget about the mediocre auxiliary sensors. The main module from Samsung with 200 megapixels has not lost its hybrid stabilization, which significantly improves the detail of photographs and videos in poor lighting or excessive dynamics of events. Stereo sound, NFC contactless payments are present, and an infrared port for controlling household appliances is an excellent addition to them. Thus, the gadget is superior to its predecessor in terms of AMOLED display and gaming capabilities, which is why it deserves increased attention.
