ZTE Nubia Neo 2 5G Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
ZTE Nubia NEO 2 5G Overview
ZTE Nubia NEO 2 5G is a real inexpensive gaming smartphone
Gamers on a budget have long been waiting for a mobile assistant that is ready to not only cope with modern games, but also has full-fledged trigger keys. And it looks like the moment for rejoicing has come, because the hero of today’s review can boast of excellent performance, the above-mentioned functionality, and a number of other competitive advantages.
The appearance of the new product is definitely a success. The texture of the rear panel looks original and expensive, and the dual camera unit with a red-painted side fingerprint sensor is also interesting. It’s hard not to see the touch trigger buttons located on the side. The frames of the IPS display, enlarged to a diagonal of 6.72 inches, are small, and the eye of the 16-megapixel selfie camera is also not large. The screen received a maximum brightness of 700 nits, which is an excellent indicator for IPS technology. The FullHD+ resolution helps maintain good image clarity, and the 120 Hz refresh rate ensures its smoothness. The developer did not forget about the oleophobic coating of the IPS panel.
Technical characteristics are presented by the UNISOC Tiger T820 processor, 8GB/12GB of RAM and the Mali G57MP4 video core. This is a rather rare combination, but it has decent power and energy efficiency. The chipset demonstrates more than 450 thousand AnTuTu points and copes even with the really resource-intensive Honkai: Star Rail and Fortnite, although for a stable framerate you need to be content with low-medium graphics presets. With Call Of Duty and World Of Tanks Blitz the situation is much better. The battery holds as much as 6000 mAh, so you won’t have to think about power banks and sockets for a couple of days. We saved a little on charging power; at 33W, the battery reaches 100% capacity in about one and a half to two hours. The permanent memory is allocated 128/256GB in UFS 3.1 format, and there is also support for MicroSD cards.
The main 50- and 2-megapixel photo modules lack optical stabilization and do not provide excellent photographic capabilities. While daytime shots can still turn out detailed and natural in terms of color reproduction in the absence of object dynamics, evening shots will be disappointing with noise, blur and other artifacts in most cases. But the stereo sound is impressive both in volume and balanced frequency response. We also add NFC contactless payment and an extremely affordable price to the advantages. And even though the device does not yet have a global version, this does not diminish the desire to purchase it for yourself.
