ZTE Nubia Red Magic 9S Pro+ Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
ZTE Nubia Red Magic 9S Pro+ Overview
ZTE Nubia Red Magic 9S Pro+ - super-performance double
Sometimes, to maintain the popularity of a commercially successful smartphone, a manufacturer only needs to re-release the model with several improvements. These may relate to design, technical characteristics or photographic capabilities. The Chinese company ZTE decided to take a similar route, but the new product has too few changes compared to its predecessor.
The appearance of the device remains the same, but this fact clearly cannot be written down as a disadvantage. The glass back panel attracts attention with its incredibly beautiful texture and cameras recessed into the body; the metal frame with touch-sensitive trigger keys located on it will please the eye of any gamer. The 6.8-inch AMOLED display has no frames and amazes with a built-in 16-megapixel selfie camera hidden with a fingerprint scanner under the glass. The sensor captures images weaker than ordinary analogues, but still not bad. As for the AMOLED panel, it’s hard to find fault with it. The image with FullHD+ resolution is quite clear, the picture is smooth at a 120 Hz refresh rate, the color rendition is realistic, and the touch panel is extremely sensitive and responsive.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version processor is the most powerful chipset today, ready, together with 16GB/24GB of RAM and an overclocked Adreno 750 video adapter, to provide a frame rate of more than 60 frames per second at maximum graphics settings in literally all existing games. Of course, achieving such a result would not have been possible without an advanced active cooling system. But because of it, the developer was still unable to implement moisture protection, which is a little disappointing. Autonomy is good, because a 5500 mAh battery is responsible for it. You will have to remember about the nearest outlet once every day and a half, and ultra-fast charging with a power of 165W will allow you to see a noticeable 100% capacity in 15-20 minutes. As for the permanent memory, it received a volume of 512/1024GB in UFS 4.0 format.
The photographic capabilities of the phablet do not disappoint. The main 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 with optical stabilization performs well even when shooting at night, providing impressive detail with a minimum of noise. The 50MP wide-angle lens doesn’t fall flat on its face either. The only thing missing from the trio is the modest 2-megapixel depth sensor. Stereo speakers produce clear, loud and pleasant sound. The list of advantages is completed by the modified Android 14, an infrared port for controlling household appliances, and NFC contactless payments. As a result, we got an almost ideal gaming device, which, however, is not much different from the previous representative of the line.
