ZTE Nubia Red Magic 11 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
ZTE Red Magic 11 Pro Overview
ZTE Red Magic 11 Pro - Evolution of the Gaming Segment
The Chinese company ZTE is far from a leader in the smartphone market today, but it's hard not to note the corporation's success in certain price categories. For example, the developer's phones aimed at gamers are extremely competitive. The subject of today's review hasn't broken this tradition, surprising with a number of innovative changes.
The design of the new device is quite successful and in keeping with the lineup. The stylish photo module assembly, which doesn't protrude from the glass back panel, the variety of colors and textures available, the metal frame, the side touch-sensitive trigger keys, and the thin display bezels with a fully integrated 16-megapixel under-display selfie camera all look stunning. The device now features an active liquid cooling system, which has significantly reduced component heating, but it still lacks full water resistance, meeting only the IPX8 standard. The 6.85-inch AMOLED panel doesn't strive for the highest resolution (2688x1216 pixels) to maintain a balance between power efficiency and image clarity. Instead, it offers an incredible 144 Hz refresh rate, fantastic touch panel responsiveness, realistic color reproduction, and a peak brightness of over 5,000 nits.
Of course, the technical specifications are impressive. The latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 CPU, 12/16 GB of RAM, and Adreno 840 GPU deliver AnTuTu scores of over three and a half million points, delivering incredibly smooth gameplay in all existing Android games. The performance headroom will be sufficient for even the most demanding gamers, even five years from now. There's no throttling, and power efficiency is excellent. The battery, boosted to 8000 mAh, delivers over 10 hours of screen-on time. Wireless charging is still lacking, but the 80W wired charging option reduces battery life to 40-50 minutes. Storage options include 256GB/512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
The manufacturer also praises its product's photography capabilities. Indeed, the main 50-megapixel Omnivision sensor with hybrid stabilization and the wide-angle 50-megapixel sensor without it handle an impressive range of shooting scenarios. Even evening shots with plenty of moving objects are no problem. The third sensor, the 2-megapixel macro camera, doesn't deserve as many compliments. However, the stereo sound is superb: rich, spacious, and loud. NFC and 5G support are also available. So, what we have here is an imperfect, but still one of the best gaming gadgets.
