Apple iPhone 17 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Apple iPhone 17 Pro Overview
Apple iPhone 17 Pro - a flagship for brand lovers
The updated line of smartphones from the American company Apple will undoubtedly sell in the millions. Its well-thought-out ecosystem, flawless iOS operating system, signature design, and numerous other competitive advantages are hard to underestimate. But do these expensive devices compare equally favorably to their Android competitors? Let's take a closer look at the Pro model.
The new device's appearance is certainly beautiful. It comes in a variety of metal and tempered glass colors, a stunning new photo module, and thin bezels all around the display. The all-in-one device is compact and simply fantastic in terms of ergonomics. The only thing I might dislike is the large notch housing the dual selfie camera (18-megapixel front sensor and FaceID). The 6.3-inch OLED panel delivers stunning detail at a 2622x1206 pixel resolution, smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, realistic color reproduction with excellent calibration, and an impressive peak brightness of 3000 nits. The oleophobic coating is extremely effective.
Technical specifications feature the manufacturer's latest A19-Pro CPU, paired with 12 GB of RAM. The chipset doesn't aim for record-breaking performance, largely due to its lower core count (2,200,000 points in the AnTuTu benchmark), but in everyday use, the chip eliminates even the slightest lag in the interface. Games, meanwhile, reach frame rates of 100-120 frames per second with maximum graphics presets. The 3988mAh battery capacity seems paltry compared to similar batteries in Android phones, but software optimization and power-efficient components help achieve up to 8-10 hours of screen-on time. The small battery charges quickly, both via a 40W wired charger and a 25W wireless charger. Storage options include 256GB, 512GB, and 1024GB.
Photography capabilities are among the best on the market. All three 48-megapixel sensors (the main Sony IMX903, the IMX973 telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom and hybrid stabilization, and the IMX972 wide-angle lens) easily handle daytime and evening photography. 8K video capture is exceptionally detailed and color-rich, with virtually no noise or blur, even with high-motion scenes. Loud, rich, and voluminous stereo sound, NFC contactless payments, 5G, eSIM, and IP68 water resistance complete the positive impression of this technologically advanced and functional gadget. While its competitors sometimes offer better battery life, the device excels in other areas.
