Blackview A55 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Blackview A55 Pro Overview
Blackview A55 Pro - almost correct solutions
The Chinese company Blackview, although not one of the market leaders, has considerable experience in the production of smartphones. So, even if the manufacturer makes mistakes and creates a frankly passable product, then after a short period of time he tries to release a modified and, as a result, more up-to-date version of the gadget. This situation has also developed with the hero of today's review, however, the developer failed to eliminate all the shortcomings of the predecessor.
The design of the novelty turned out to be stylish due to the combination of three photomodules and a fingerprint sensor into one exterior element, as well as nice-looking body colors. Unfortunately, the screen bezels are quite noticeable, and the 5-megapixel selfie camera upsets the “drop” form factor. There are no expected changes in picture quality. The increased price tag did not affect the clarity of the image at a low resolution of the IPS screen of 1600x720 pixels. For a 6.53-inch diagonal, this is clearly not enough, and the brightness and contrast values \u200b\u200bare far from the record ones.
The performance of the technical specifications has increased, but the Mediatek Helio P22 CPU is not to be admired. Even with the RAM increased to 4GB , this chipset is not able to provide smooth operation of modern three-dimensional games. The main reason for the failure is the outdated PowerVR GE8320 video adapter. With the Android 11 interface and applications like a browser or messenger, the situation is better, although sometimes minor jamming is visible. But you don’t have to worry about autonomy, because the device is ready to boast of a battery as much as 4780mAh . The energy efficiency of the OGS-screen and the installed processor is enough for the battery to give out up to a couple of days of operation of the mobile assistant. A separate microSD card slot minimizes the possible shortage of internal memory.
The 13- and 2-megapixel main cameras are topped by a Sony IMX258 sensor, but don't let the name fool you. This is an old module that, without optical stabilization and high-quality lenses, can hardly cope even with daytime shots. If details and hints of natural color reproduction are still preserved in such photographs, then when the lighting deteriorates, the picture is buried in smears and noise. The list of cons is complemented by the lack of stereo sound and NFC contactless payments. Thus, although the device is a step forward compared to the previous model, it disappoints with an abundance of shortcomings and compromises.
