Oppo Pad 6 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Oppo Pad 6 Overview
Oppo Pad 6 – Gaming or Not?
Tablets have become slightly less popular among mobile device enthusiasts over the past few years. The increasing size of smartphones and the decreasing weight of laptops have taken their toll. Therefore, manufacturers are doing everything possible to attract buyers. And the Chinese company Oppo has done its best to impress its audience with the performance of today's review subject, its battery life, and a number of other competitive advantages.
The design of the new device is clean, minimalist, but also unmistakably stylish. The eye-pleasing metal casing colors look excellent, and the brand logo adds to its appeal. You wouldn't expect such a powerful device to be just six millimeters thick. The screen bezels aren't the slimmest, but that's standard for this class of devices. The 12.1-inch IPS display boasts a decent 900 nits of brightness for an outdated technology, so you won't have to hide from direct sunlight. An impressive 3000x2120 resolution, resulting in excellent image clarity, flagship-quality smoothness of content at a 144 Hz refresh rate, and natural, slightly muted color reproduction leave a positive impression on the IPS panel.
It's unlikely anyone will be dissatisfied with the technical specifications. The powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9500s CPU, 8GB/12GB/16GB RAM, and Mali Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU not only deliver a nearly 3,000,000-point AnTuTu score or the extremely stable operation of Android 16, but also unlocks the world of resource-intensive Android games at maximum graphics settings. You won't have to worry about stuttering or lag, as the frame rate rarely drops below 90-100 frames per second. There is some throttling, but it's only noticeable in synthetic benchmarks. With a 10,420mAh battery, you can realistically expect about ten hours of screen time. Wireless charging isn't available, and it's rare in similar devices. However, there is a wired version with a whopping 67W. Storage options include 256GB, 512GB, and 1024GB.
Forget about photography, though. Both the main and front-facing 8-megapixel cameras are designed for video calls, not for artistic photography. The stereo speakers are incredibly loud, with clear bass. A SIM card version would have been a fantastic addition, but for some reason, it was omitted. However, these minor flaws, while not critical for the form factor, won't make this device any worse. With a price tag that's reasonable for the features it offers, it will definitely find its user.
