Vivo X300 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Vivo X300 Pro Overview
Vivo X300 Pro – a conservative yet appealing flagship
Despite its highly competitive smartphone market, the Chinese company Vivo successfully promotes its products both domestically and internationally. Its flagship phones are the most popular. What's the secret to their success? Let's explore this with the example of today's review subject.
The new model's design adheres to the manufacturer's signature style, which is a plus. The familiar colors and textures of the case, the stylish round camera module with the beloved ZEISS logo, the extremely thin screen bezels with an integrated fingerprint scanner, the metal frame, the modest thickness of the candybar, and the full IP68 water resistance make it immediately clear that this is an expensive device. The 6.78-inch AMOLED display has an average resolution of 2800x1260 pixels for a diagonal, so content clarity is still far from exceptional. However, the AMOLED panel redeems itself in other areas. Smooth images at a 120 Hz refresh rate are perfectly matched by calibrated color reproduction, a peak brightness of 4500 nits, no PWM, and a high-quality oleophobic coating.
The specifications are identical to those of the non-Pro version. However, an improved cooling system helps the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 CPU, 12/16 GB of RAM, and Mali ARM G1 Ultra GPU consistently score over three million points in AnTuTu and avoid throttling even after hours of gaming in Genshin Impact, Fortnite, and other resource-intensive titles. Of course, this applies to maximum graphics settings. It's unlikely anyone will complain about battery life either. The 6510 mAh battery easily provides 9-10 hours of active screen time. Both fast wired (90W) and wireless (40W) charging are available. There's no microSD card slot, so it's recommended to choose in advance whether you need 256, 512, or 1024GB of storage.
Photography is one of the device's key strengths. The latest 50-megapixel Sony LYT-828 main sensor and the high-tech 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HPB periscope telephoto lens feature hybrid stabilization and highly optimized software, making them capable of handling virtually any shooting scenario. The 50-megapixel wide-angle lens is simpler, but even it's perfectly capable of handling evening photo shoots. Add to all of the above, great stereo sound, NFC contactless payment, 5G and eSIM support, an IR port for controlling home appliances, and a reasonable price tag, and you get one of the best options for purchase in this price segment.
