Xiaomi Poco M7 Pro 5G Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Xiaomi POCO M7 Pro 5G Overview
Xiaomi POCO M7 Pro 5G - where are the shortcomings?
Competitors can only envy the ability of the Chinese company Poco (a sub-brand of Xiaomi Corporation) to create successful smartphones in the lower and middle price segments. The M-line of phones is perhaps the most popular. The combination of stylish design, decent technical characteristics and even, recently, good photo capabilities could not fail to find a response among millions of buyers. And the hero of today's review only continues to improve the strengths of the series.
The appearance of the new product is quite interesting. If the block of photo modules is standard by today's standards, then the original texture of the back panel, stylized as marble, thin display frames with a fingerprint scanner and excellent ergonomics of the case made of high-quality polycarbonate look very relevant. The 6.67-inch AMOLED screen crossed the 2000 nit mark in peak brightness, which has a positive effect on the visibility of the picture on a sunny day. The FullHD+ resolution is enough for the clarity of the content, and the smoothness at a refresh rate of 120 Hz and minimal errors in color rendering are pleasing. There is a PWM effect, but it is insignificant.
The MediaTek Dimensity 7025 processor, 6GB/8GB of RAM and the IMG BXM-8-256 graphics accelerator are a bundle that will be increasingly used in devices in the low-medium price category. It not only received support for 5G frequencies, but also performance in the region of 500,000 points in the AnTuTu benchmark. The HyperOS shell interface (Android 14) rarely meets the user with lags, and gaming capabilities are far from limited. You can even try resource-intensive games like Zenless Zone Zero or Fortnite, although not at maximum graphics settings. The chipset is not devoid of energy efficiency. The 5110mAh battery will require finding the nearest outlet or power bank once every one and a half to two days. At the same time, there is a wired charger with a power of 45W (from 0 to 100% capacity in 45-50 minutes). There is no wireless analogue, but it is often absent in devices at twice the price.
Photographic capabilities are represented by a 50-megapixel Sony LYT600 sensor with hybrid stabilization and a 2-megapixel portrait sensor. It is better to forget about the auxiliary module right away, but the second camera does not give in even before evening photography. Noise reduction works correctly, detail is at a remarkable level. Only video shooting seriously lags behind that of camera phones. Stereo sound is loud, rich, but it lacks bass. Other advantages include NFC, a gyroscope for controlling household appliances, 128/256 GB of ROM, and a slot for MicroSD cards. As a result, we have a practically perfect device for the money requested by the developer. Definitely recommended for purchase.
