Infinix Hot 70 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Infinix Hot 70 Overview
Infinix Hot 70 - Sacrifices to Make
The Chinese company Infinix is doing everything possible to delight its fans with affordable, yet well-balanced and functional smartphones. Unfortunately, the release of such devices is significantly complicated by rising component prices. This is why the company made some compromises when creating the subject of today's review. However, most of these compromises did not affect the overall appeal of the device.
The appearance of the new device is attractive for its price segment. While it's hard to miss the wide bottom bezel or the cheap plastic casing, these shortcomings are completely offset by the attractive color options, ergonomic design, convenient side fingerprint scanner, and original camera module. The 6.78-inch IPS display disappoints with a resolution of 1576x720 pixels. While the IPS panel significantly improves energy efficiency, the clarity of the displayed content is mediocre. However, the image quality is flagship-quality smoothness with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, a respectable peak brightness of 1000 nits, and natural color reproduction.
The technical specifications include a MediaTek Helio G100 CPU, 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM, and a Mali G57MC2 GPU. It's strongly recommended not to purchase the version with the minimum RAM, as games run poorly on it and processes sometimes crash to the desktop. With other configurations, you can expect relatively smooth gameplay even in Genshin Impact, although you'll have to lower the graphics settings significantly. The battery capacity has been increased to 5600 mAh, so you won't have to worry about battery life. The phablet lasts about two days of active use, and it also supports 33W fast charging. The internal storage is 256 GB, and there's a microSD card slot.
The photo capabilities of the main 50-megapixel sensor and secondary 2-megapixel portrait sensor aren't outstanding, but they're sufficient for capturing text or daytime photos. However, don't expect phenomenal detail or the absence of blur and noise. There's no stereo sound, nor is there a dedicated headphone jack, which is unlikely to please music lovers. However, NFC contactless payments are present. Overall, this device evokes positive emotions thanks to its excellent combination of performance, attractive design, and solid functionality.
