Xiaomi Poco F6 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Xiaomi Poco F6 Overview
Xiaomi Poco F6 is the flagship for gaming and more
The F-series of smartphones from the Chinese company Poco has always been incredibly popular, because in fact it consists of flagship devices at an extremely reasonable price. Of course, the manufacturer made some compromises to keep the cost, but the final product still received extremely positive reviews. A similar fate awaits the hero of today's review.
The design of the novelty deserves high praise, even if it is somewhat spoiled by the plastic edging. The metal version both pleasantly cools the palm and looks more expensive. However, the combination of an updated block of three photomodules, attractive rear glass panels with an abundance of colors and a frameless display around the entire perimeter looks at least worthy for the middle and higher price segments. The 6.67-inch AMOLED screen is simply devoid of visible cons. The resolution of 2700x1224 pixels perfectly suits the selected diagonal, the brightness margin exceeding 1500 nits allows you to use the mobile assistant under the direct rays of the summer sun. Of course, it was not without a 120-Hz refresh rate, an effective oleophobic layer, and a high-quality sub-screen fingerprint scanner.
But the main advantage of the model is its technical characteristics. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU sets performance records today in any task. And their list will include not only the functioning of Android 13 (MIUI shell), the launch of browsers or photo editors, but also resource-intensive tests and gaming applications. The AnTuTu benchmark shows results in the region of 1200000 points, demanding Genshin Impact and Diablo Immortal are characterized by amazingly smooth frame rates at maximum graphics presets. Of course, it would be impossible to achieve this without 8GB / 12GB of RAM and the Adreno 740 video core. The battery did not become an object of savings, because its capacity was 5000mAh, and the fast charging speed was 120W. 20 minutes spent at the outlet will give you about one and a half days of active use of the gadget. Permanent memory is allocated 256/512GB without an expansion slot.
The photographic possibilities of cameras are not unlimited, but not bad. These words do not apply to 8- and 2-megapixel auxiliary modules, which the buyer will definitely not use often, but are addressed to the 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor with optical stabilization. There are no complaints about daytime photos, and evening shots are not replete with noise or blurring. The stereo speakers impress with their volume and bass. There are also NFC contactless payments, a proprietary infrared port for controlling household appliances. What is missing is wireless charging and moisture protection. But is it possible to take this fact as a disadvantage given the excellent price tag of the device? Hardly. Thus, nothing prevents us from recommending an amazing phablet for purchase.
